Job Description
• Ensure all production equipment is operating reliably and Overall Equipment Efficiency measures are achievable during production shifts in food & beverage manufacturing plant.
• Maintains equipment to all specifications relating to electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and troubleshooting in a team operation such as gear boxes, pumps, bearings, conveyors, valves, hydraulic machines, sensors, gauges, RTD’s, pressure transmitters, flow meters and all other type of rotary and stationary equipment
• Performs scheduled and unscheduled service activities including emergency service, preventative maintenance and installations
• Provide the Engineering or Maintenance Team with support in the implementation of production line modifications.
• Provide the Maintenance Team with support in the troubleshooting and repair of equipment or instrumentation operating under the control of an automated system.
• Willing to work on shift and participate in "On Call" service including after hours and weekend schedule rotation
• Maintain spare part levels and trigger to reorders within replenishment guidelines
• Ensure compliance with company and legislative Health, Safety, Environment, quality & food safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Maintenance of a safe operating environment within the complex and surrounding areas
Job Requirement
• Degree, Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechanical field
• 2-3 years previous relevant experience in similar manufacturing environment. Good knowledge & experience of electrical, instrumentation & control such as Profibus system will be an added advantage
• Knowledge in GMP, food safety and hygienic design standard
• Good physical fitness to be able to perform shift duties & hands on mechanical and electrical maintenance work is essential
• Applicants must have good communication skills combined with a flexible, team orientated and ‘can do’ approach
• Computer literate, able to read & comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings, P&IDs specifications is required
• Experience of plant start up, commissioning would be preferable
• Boiler operation certification.
