Job Description
• Identify, plan, support and follow up with students and family in need
• Respond immediately and provide support to ensure children are safe from any types of abuse
• Work with the classroom teachers to establish learning support strategies for students as required
• Conduct home visits
• Provide counselling to families and children you work with
• Coordinate with school leadership to make sure case management is running well for individual student and families
• Collaborate with Front Office to ensure children are attending schools
• Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or/and related field
• Establish relationship and communicate as needed to support students/families
• Understand crisis intervention, child protection, gender-based violence, etc.
• Experience in working with traumatized children and families
• Minimum 2-year experience as community facilitator, school social worker, and/or counselor
• Willing to advocate to decrease violence against children and women
• Computer and ITC knowledge (MS Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
