Job Description
• Review and design drawings and specifications, propose better engineering alternatives and connection details;
• Obtain and assemble all technical information, data, and drawings needed from relevant departments for full coordination of Shop Drawing across the Civil/Structure, Architectural, and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) architectural designs.
• Compare the project’s architectural, civil drawings and MEP drawings to identify any gaps or conflicts, communicate any inquiries to consultant to send Request for Information (RFIs) to the project consultant, and communicate relevant information to project site for technical consistency.
• Develop and standardize shop fabrication drawing;
• Analyze all the given data and documents of the project
• Review shop drawings for works and submit it for endorsement before execution;
• Prepare all shop drawings needed for execution for onsite and offsite works;
• Redevelop shop drawings according to the changes brought by the technical supervision;
• Receive/Review ‘As Built’ drawings and compare with submitted documents to ensure consistency, and create RFIs, whenever needed, to be sent to the project consultant.
• Other tasks assigned by Project Manager.
Job Requirement
• Degree qualified: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing engineering.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Experience with MEP materials design
• Establish a system to ensure collaborative problem solving with the site delivery team, which will involve regular dialogue with contractors, team working and risk – sharing.
• Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures both within projects, with clients and internally.
