Job Description
• Preparation of bill of quantities including breakdown detailed quantities of required materials and other related technical documents such as equipment list, construction programme, and method statements and so on
• Assessment of BOQ’s received upon drawings
• On-going quantity analysis of tender projects
• Feasibility studies of client requests
• Site visits, assessments and projections for future work
• Counter-check all materials quantities and quality throughout project and post project completion
• Tender analysis and assistance during the tendering procedures
• Study and submit unclear drawing/information enquiries related to tender projects
• Prepare and update the price database of all the materials used in the constructions
• Ensure that every step of Standard Operating Procedure for each tender is respected by the QS team
• Ensure that the Preliminary Work Checklist for each tender is well elaborated by the QS engineers so that it can be used, at later stage of the process, as document control for BOQ
• Check and confirm the BOQ prepared by QS engineers (with the BOQ checklist) to ensure the qualities of BOQ
Job Requirement
• Bachelor | master degree in Structural/Civil engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years work experience in quantity surveying field
• Good command of Khmer and English, both spoken and written (must be able to write reports)
• Computer fluency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, AutoCAD
• Good inter-personal skills, must be able to communicate well with staff
• Excellent communicator with impressive numeracy skills to handle the financial and mathematical demands of the role
• Demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving and an ability to negotiate across the various levels of any construction environment
• Strong team player, working effectively with all staff members at all levels
• Global mindset, pro-active, analytical, problem-solving, paired with a very clear hands-on mentality
