Job Description
The Project Coordinator will initiate and monitor project plans, including managing staff schedules, logistics, program budgets and daily expenditures. The Coordinator will ensure project schedules and deadlines are met. The person will initiate and/or actively participate in and report on stakeholder meetings with government personnel and our NGO partners.
● Oversee field staff and Local Business Operators (LBOs). Coordinate all project management activities, collect information and be responsible for project resources and equipment.
- Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
- Break project tasks into doable actions and set timeframes
- Assign tasks and oversee staff work
● Assist in preparing budgets
● Prepare activities workplan, write narrative, annual and final reports for the donors with WW! Programs Manager assistance
● Monitor project progress and handle issues that arise
● Act as point-of-contact, communicating project status, and coordinating project activities with partner organizations
● Arrange transportation of materials to target schools and villages
● Work closely with WW! Project Field Officer in target communities to arrange in-village public awareness events and train local businesses to make and install Wetlands Work’s sanitation product (the HandyPod) in selected schools and households in target villages
● Initiate and maintain all project documentation, including timesheets, activities and reports
● Ensure product quality standards for making HandyPods including the proper installation of each sanitation system for households and for schools.
Job Requirement
● University degree in Engineering, Environment, Rural Development, Management or related field of study
● Three years management experience in sanitation, WASH or a related field
● Ability to work well independently and as a key member of the WW team
● Experience with basic IT for a variety of tasks. Competency in Microsoft Office and online communication softwares/drives
● Comfort with multiple workdays at remote floating and floodplain villages
● Hands-on experience in rural floating villages on Tonle Sap is a plus
● English competency in writing and speaking
