• Apply client standards and other applicable guidelines to complete engineering designs (utility pole replacements, communication cable attachment modifications, and new communication cable attachment design).
• Ability to analyze field collected data (including imagery) and accurately update applicable software packages for successful design implementation
• Communicate with local co-workers and US team, to agree on the best solution for engineering design
• Accountable for work assigned and responsible for completing work on project schedule and within project budget while regularly communicating status with management team

Engineering design and drafting support is needed for projects related to improving utility and communication companies’ engineering and construction operations. Projects can include utility pole attachment projects and programs, distribution engineering design projects, distribution system improvement projects, and long-term infrastructure improvement programs. The work relates directly to improving network reliability of electric distribution systems and expanding high speed fiber networks.

Responsibilities:

• Apply client standards and other applicable guidelines to complete engineering designs (utility pole replacements, communication space rearrangements, joint-use design) for possible joint-use or make-ready construction
• Ability to analyze field collected data (including imagery) and accurately update applicable software packages for successful design implementation
• Knowledge of GIS software and ability to input engineering and design data accurately and completely into GIS software
• Communicate with co-workers, to agree on the best solution for engineering design
• Accountable for work assigned and responsible for completing work on project schedule and within project budget while regularly communicating status with management team
