Job Description
The QS Manager is responsible for the Procurement, Cost and Contracts function. Implements and executes approved vendor list program through collaboration with the rest of the management team, ensuring compliance and corporate governance in the various procurement processes. Works closely with the Project Management and Construction Department and other relevant departments within the organization to play a key strategic and management role within the Organization. Responsible for management of overall warehouse operation, monitors cost and effectively manages the sourcing of vendors, suppliers and contractors.
S/he shall oversee and supervise the following Departments:
i. Procurement & Cost Department; and
ii. Contracts Administration.
Job Requirement
• A degree holder in Construction or its related discipline. Having an MBA would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in a similar industry handling direct and indirect procurement;
• Candidates with QS or Contracts background is preferred;
• Familiar with local and neighboring markets for construction materials;
• Significant previous procurement experience with responsibility for delivery of procurement benefits including financial savings;
• Experience in leading a new Procurement department in at least two blue-chip organizations that have crossed functional and business boundaries; and
• Experience of working with a fragmented user base in multiple locations
