Job Description
MEP engineer is a professional designation responsible for planning and design in the field of Mechanical, Electrical, and plumbing (MEP) practice, including developing policies standards, inspection procedure and evaluation tools for MEP concerns along with preparing, reviewing drawing, specification, and cost estimates for the mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing. He/she shall be actively completing the MEP works required in project phases: Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Tender/Construction Documents, Bidding and Negotiation, and Construction Administration.
MEP engineer is the professional responsible for Mechanical, Electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design in building. The duties required are as below:
- Undertake MEP concept and schematic design for assigned projects, with the
ability to undertake design details including preliminary design calculations,
preliminary specifications, and other required design information
- Undertake HVAC concept, schematic, design development, tender and construction
for assigned projects
- Liaise with architect, engineers, and other disciplines to ensure coherent and
correct, as well as aesthetically pleasing design.
- Liaise with Architectural, ID, and structural disciplines to ensure the
drawing has been coordinated properly to minimize any discrepancies
- Make amendments to the design as required
- Produce design brief, document , report, specification, BOQ and cost plan for
HVAC system
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Preference given to candidates with experience in fire system and plumbing
- Minimum 3 year working experiences in property development projects
- Strong knowledge of building, construction details and relevant rules,
regulations, and quality standards.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to liaise well with professionals from other disciplines
- Basic verbal and written communication skills in English and Khmer
