Job Description
TP Moral Construction and Development is looking for a highly skilled and experienced QS professional. Are you a person who likes to be office based, working within a dynamic commercial team? Then this just might be the job for you!
The Senior QS Officer is responsible for ensuring that projects progress efficiently, affordably, and safely by using the Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) process and preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). The Senior QS will keep top management updated with specialized advice in the areas of Life Cycle Costing (LCC) for continuous appraisal of the project. S/He forms an integral part of the commercial department.

II. Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare bill of quantities with accuracy and precision including breakdown
details of required materials
- Collaborate with engineers, and architects on Cost Estimation
- Prepare tender documents, budgets, BoQ, and other documents
- Evaluate suppliers and contractors’ claim proposals, set budgets for
payments
- Review and negotiate variation order with sub-contractor/contractor
- Monitor constructions plan and update budgets
- Identify potential financial or construction risks
- Prepare payments for contractors and subcontractors
- Check document progress, materials, and reports on the project
- Update and develop of price list for tender as per the sub-contractor /
supplier quotations.
- Maintain contractual record documentation, control all contract
correspondence
- Supervise procurement strategy.
- Be able to prepare a statement of final account (records the actual cost of
all sections of the project)
- determine the project needs and discuss any areas that need revising for
price or feasibility
- perform site surveys and estimations
- Identify commercial risks and develop appropriate response
- Manage and supervise subordinates
- Performs another task assigned by the QS Manager.
Job Requirement
II. Qualifications & Experience
• - Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, Quantity Surveying, or
related field.
- 03 years of working experience in the quantity surveying field
- Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Building Science
Contractor/Subcontractor Management
- Good in English both spoken and written
- Excellent computer-aided skills: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Word, Excel,PowerPoint,
Ms Project
- Strong team player, good interpersonal skills, working effectively with all
members
- Good time management, hardworking and initiative skills
- Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports
- Experienced in compiling and following strict budgets, strong estimating,
and financial analysis skills
- In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
- Honest, friendly, flexible, high commitment, good attitude, open-minded and
work ethic.
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
