Job Description
I. Job Summary
Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing Supervisor will review design drawings from consultants, provide cost & material estimates, supervise sub-contractors relating to site works, evaluate & certify progress claim from sub-contractors/ makes recommendations for payments, and control project budget and timeline. He/she will also draw up projected budgets, work alongside a team, noting any design changes and their effect on cost, and often liaises with builders, architects, engineers, and other contractors.
II. Duties & Responsibilities
MEP Supervisor is a professional responsible for reviewing, estimating, planning, scheduling, coordinating MEP project activities from start to finish to meet the deadlines. The duties required are to:
- Review and confirm the design briefs of full MEP system submitted by the
Consultant.
- Work with the design consultant to understand fully MEP design and construction
drawings.
- Produce Bill of Quantity & cost estimate for MEP works based on design drawings
& Specification.
- Collaborate with Quantity Surveyor team to produce feasibility studies
involving BoQ & cost estimation.
- Check MEP technical drawings to ensure that all the confirmed drawings are
complied with detailed list of its material, specifications and functional
design.
- Inspect construction, installation, maintenance, and testing activities to
ensure compliance with specification, codes, and Client’ requirements.
- Organize project meetings for critical MEP activities and attend technical
meetings with contractor and weekly progress meeting if required by
Construction Manager.
- Assist construction manager and site engineers in technical advice to ensure
clear understanding of drawings and details and in their coordination and
relation with subcontractors.
- Monitor MEP working schedule and collaborate with subcontractors to ensure
smooth site work progress to meet deadline.
- Evaluate and process sub-contractor claims;
- Any other duties as assigned by Line Manager.

III. Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in MEP engineering or related field;
- Minimum 3-5 years working experience in MEP design, quantity survey & cost, and
supervising MEP construction projects;
- Good knowledge of construction methods and quality control procedures for MEP
works;
- Proven experience in High Rise Towers, Industrial, Residential and Commercial
Building Projects is preferable;
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of MVAC, Plumbing, LV, MV, ELV and firefighting system in building.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Dialux, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Khmer.
- Good organizational, analytical and supervisory skills and attention to detail.
- knowledge in Cost Estimation in MEP based project.
- Own-initiative and proactive attitude.
- Ability to work well under pressure and under minimal supervision.
